ABA Psychological Therapies

ABA Audrey and Sue

ABA Psychological Therapies is a Service offering Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Our principal and founding Therapists, Susan Armstrong and Audrey Brennan are highly experienced Accredited, Registered members of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by its Code of Ethics.

Our qualifications and experience enable us to work with our Clients on a broad range of specific emotional problems and common mental health difficulties. These include but are not limited to General and Specific Anxieties, Depression, Bereavement, Trauma, Loss and Abuse.

We also have over 20 years’ practice in mental health and wellbeing in the National Health Service delivering NICE guideline approved and recommended therapies including Integrative, Cognitive Behavioural, Psychodynamic and Person Centred models. This enables work with a shorter term solution focus or in a longer term in depth way, reflecting the Clients’ needs and presentations.

Both Senior Therapists are trained in and practice EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a further NICE approved treatment, increasingly sought after, addressing Trauma and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). It is also used effectively in Pain Management and the treatment of Phobia. Audrey Brennan is a Member of the EMDR Association Europe and Ireland. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Supervision. Susan Armstrong completed additional specialist training at the Institute of Psychiatry in London “Achieving Excellence in CBT”.
